His books offer an opportunity to discuss nonfiction topics and create beautiful and unique works of art. The children enjoyed The Very Hungry Caterpillar last week as we worked on sequencing, days of the week, numbers and water colored, traced, and cut our very own very hungry caterpillars. This week we read The Grouchy Ladybug. This story provides lessons on time, predicting, different animals, what it means to be grouchy and sequencing. Nonfiction topics such as ladybug facts and comparing and contrasting caterpillars and ladybugs will also be discussed. | |
